You may now create your own 1300 Chapter! Check the Chapters link to the left to see if there is already one established... if not, create one by clicking Create Content then Chapter.
Thanks for visiting! Before you dive into the sea of information here, please create your free account. Once you do, you will have access to all of the information as well as the ability share your own stories, photos, and blogs! There are lots of features that I am working on that will be restricted to registered users. Please share your experiences with Yamaha's motorcycle, the V-Star 1300 and the 1300 Tourer.
Over the past year, our site has steadily grown and membership now is over 1900 worldwide. The 1300 Tourer and the 1300 is now in it's third year, and it is doing well! I started this website with the intention of it being the premier website for information regarding Yamaha's new addition to their line, the V-Star 1300 Tourer.
During my first year of ownership, I took a 3500 mile round trip to the Grand Canyon on the 1300 Tourer. This was a huge improvement over my trip to Yellowstone on my old 650 V-Star Custom! I needed the ability to climb mountain roads with all of my gear attached. I think Yamaha's 1300 Tourer is perfect... not to mention the huge hard saddlebags that are big enough to hold all of my camping equipment.

Hi everyone!
I am proud to announce that we have finalized the host hotel arrangements for our 3rd Annual Meet & Greet in Salida Colorado.
For updates on this years Meet & Greet, visit www.1300tourer.com/mg2010
The rooms are in somewhat short supply, and they are first come, first serve. In other words,... book early. I have also opened up the sign-up within the Meet & Greet page.
Also we have some new t-shirts that paulinokc has designed for us. If you are interested in seeing the design or placing an order, details can be found here: www.1300tourer.com/node/6710
I hope everyone is getting though the winter!
Ride safe,... and see you in Salida!

Hi everyone,
I've opened up the sign-ups for the 2010 Meet & Greet in Salida. If you plan on joining us, please click the 2010 Meet & Greet link on the left and sign-up for the event. I should have the final details on the host hotel this weekend. This will include room styles, hotel particulars, and rates for the different rooms... I'll also post info on any details needed to get your room reserved.
Once the hotel information is available, I'll be emailing those of you who have signed up for the event immediately and you'll want to get your room booked. I have a feeling we'll be using a few more rooms than last year, and the hotel isn't as large as the one we had in Tennessee. In other words... act fast. ;)
As always if you have recommendations for our 2010 Meet & Greet page or the Meet & Greet itself, please let me know.
If you need to email the link to someone, the shortcut is: http://www.1300tourer.com/MG2010

This parking sign measures 12" wide by 18" high and is made of .080 aluminum (same as road signs) with with red graphics and are priced at $23 + shipping. If you are interested... contact paulinokc by clicking below:

Thanks again Paul... my company won't set aside a parking space so I guess this will have to go in my garage!
Ride safe everyone!

Hello fellow members!
With the end of the riding season drawing to a close (for most of us anyway) I figured it was time to get a newsletter out... something I haven't done for a couple months and it is long overdue!
Over the past few months we have seen some server issues which I think are now under control. The long term plan is to get 1300tourer.com migrated to my data center at home. This will give us LOTS of room to grow.
The planning is underway for our 3rd Annual Meet & Greet. Next year we will be meeting in Salida, Colorado. Earlier this year I took a scouting trip to Salida. Everyone who joins us this year is in for spectacular rides, awesome views, and a quiet town that will be welcoming us with open arms. I have a host hotel picked out... a few more items to finalize there and we can start booking rooms (at a greatly discounted rate).
For M&G 2010, I'll be providing lots of recreational options for our members. The riding choices will be plenty - horse, ATV, kayak, raft, and of course your 1300! Downtown Salida is the perfect spot for those wanting to do some shopping. If you enjoy fishing, there are lots of spots. After hours activities will also be available for those that wish to take advantage of them. Like last year, I'll be keeping updated information under the 2010 M&G link on 1300tourer.com.
As many of you know, Riders United is now live. What many of you do not know is that membership is free. Riders United consists of motorcycle riders who are willing to volunteer some of their time to a good cause, and the website will act as a central coordination point for volunteer opportunities and efforts on a global level.
