Okay, now I'm excited for sure......

Kat and I have been gathering up our stuff for the trek to Wisconsin. Got out our camping gear yesterday (we'll camp out on the way up and home). Checking out the bikes and trailer today. Oil change, new filters, re-oil air filters, got new rear tires in place, and general once-overs today. Printed out maps and went to AAA yesterday for Trip Tic along the Great River Road. Really looking forward to about 10 days on the road with our bikes. Anybody else excited? We're bringing along a little swag for the Thursday night gaming. Following Will's advice to offer something local from our area. Really looking towards seeing some of our "family" who we havn't seen in a while. Just a few more days, folks. See y'all real soon.

Roger

We're stoked

The bike's ready! We just have a bit of packing left.

It's gonna be sooooo much fun.

See ya all soon.

Counting down ...

Just back from an oil & filter change, a new headlight bulb [low beam burned out] and the young tech found and fixed a screw up that I did a couple of years ago [ask me next week]. I'm heading out with the back tire I put on for the trip to Dubois last year but might have to replace it before I get home again. Depending on how it's looking in PdC, I might be getting a Commander II put on at the Iron Pony, otherwise, I'll get one from my local guy as soon as I get home. Big difference in price, but I like to support our local businesses.

Is it June yet? ... oh, yes it is!!!! ;-) Se y'all in 5 days.

I used to be indecisive ... Now I'm not so sure!?

Weather is looking nice in

Weather is looking nice in PDC! Partly cloudy / Mid 80's. Hope that holds together!

That

is good to hear, Will. I'll admit I've been less connected this year--it seems things are coming from all directions with the new place, a teenager in the house, and remodeling things we're trying to do. We've got a loaner dog this week from Linda's son who got married last Saturday and took off to the Black Hills on their honeymoon so we're scrambling to get ready for M&G. I had big plans for day ride routes but I'll be lucky to get to PDC with the Roarks in tow after a N Minnesota loop. The Goldwing has some new farkles I've thrown on with some help from Larry and some electric things still in the box for now.

I'd rather be wise than smart.

Us too!

By this time tomorrow Lori and I should be on the road east. Probably not going more than a couple of hundred miles, but hey, we are on vacation!

Might have to fuel up before I leave.
Yep I am ready.

I hope y'all have a great trip!

I'm riding home to northern Indiana nxt month from Mobile, AL, and couldn't swing enough time off (or enough $$) to make the M&G this year, but maybe next year.
Yankee by birth, Rebel by choice.

Almost ready to go in Oklahoma. Both bikes serviced and washed, new tires on "Moby Dick" and luggage laid out and being filled. Donna will get off early on Friday and we will meet Clint in Rita at Stroud (on the turnpike) Friday evening. Will ride to Vinita or Miami, OK. We will be in Hannibal, MO on Saturday. I'll give you a call so we can coordinate rooms.....paul

Saturday

Didn't think y'all would get to Hannibal on Saturday. Cool! As long as the weather holds we should be there that afternoon, about 424 miles from Tunica. See y'all soon! Cliff

Leaving Friday evening and

Leaving Friday evening and running 150+ miles makes getting to Hannibal on Saturday much easier. 540 miles with 3 bikes was going to be tough, especially in the heat they are predicting....paul

Heat, What Heat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's been in the mid 90's for a couple weeks now with heat index hitting 110 a few times. It's gonna feel like winter! Lookin forward to snow!

It must be you

It must be your clothes taking up all the space. My scrawny daughter (The Wife) has to run around in the shower to get wet. :) Oh wait, it is her other stuff taking up the space. LOL

I am excited to see everyone again!

ATGATT Because walking away in disgust is better than riding away in an ambulance!

Friends are family you pick up along the way.

Don't get too excited Roger ...

Kinda hard to reach the rear brake or the shifter with a stiff leg! ;-) See ya Monday.

Got all the above stuff......

Done!!!!! Bikes checked out and serviced. Even took 'em to the car wash to get 'em all spiffy. Actually surprised to find out I have a red motorcycle!!! How about that? Kat bought some new luggage to haul her stuff in because my old Tour King pack didn't have the "cuteness" factor. I spoil her endlessly. She does, however, deserve to be spoiled so all is good. All we have to do now is pack our clothes. Already have our camping sites reserved for Saturday and Sunday nights. Camping gear is loaded up and ready. We're gonna go real slow so we can enjoy the time running up the Great River Road. Conrad, I have your new seat stowed away and ready for delivery, too. Just need to go through our packing list, take care of a few odds and ends here on the Ponderosa and we'll be off. Everyone, be careful on the way. We need you all to stay safe and sound until we all get to PDC. Then, all bets are off!!!! Just a few more days, just a few more days, just a few more days. BTW, Conrad, I can shift/brake in ways that you can only imagine, and, without any chemical help. Not bad for an old fart, huh?
