Toad Choker forecast.....

Well......here's the forecast as of now for the Toad Choker. Looks like rain for sure on Friday (100%) and a better than half chance of rain on Saturday as well. So, it sure looks like the TC might just live up to it's name once again. Bring your rain gear and hip boots. Of course, hip boots are needed for wading through all the stories anyway.

Fri, Apr 19
Rain showers. a mixture of sun and clouds. Mild. 63°F 51°F 5 mph / SE 86% 63°F Low 100% 0.58"
Sat, Apr 20
Showers early. More clouds than sun. Mild. 63°F 48°F 10 mph / NNW 61% 63°F Low 63% 0.27"
Sun, Apr 21
High level clouds. Cool. 60°F 40°F 7 mph / ENE 57% 59°F Moderate 0%

Could be worse but I was hoping for better than this. Of course, this forecast is very likely to change between now and then but we'll see.

Roger

Think of it this way Cliff

It's kinda like V W Fun while riding. Thinking positive always. :-)
Raymond

Absolutely right, Roger

I don't believe they could predict a thunderstorm if it were right on top of them. It looks like another change in weather, cold
High mid 50's Low's 30's on Friday and just a tad warmer the next couple of days and of course were leaving on Thursday, so we're gonna get a wet @$$ riding up there. Friday will match the coldest day we've experienced this year, so all I can say is.....

WELCOME TO THE TOAD CHOKER, EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But wouldn't that be bit out the way for us.

Maybe a little ways

Has it might be a few miles out of the way but think of the companionship. LOL
We got a 250 mile training ride in today. They forcast rain ans a high of 66. We rode 230 miles in temps as high as 82 with sunshine got home in sprinkles and it is now raining right along. I can only hope the weatherman is wrong Thursday afternoon when we leave it is supposed to be in the 40's.

Changing daily.....

I'm convinced that the weather prognosticators know nothing and are just guessing at this point. Today's extended forecast looks very good, indeed for next weekend so we'll go with that. 60's and mostly sunny all 3 days (per 2 different sources). Sure hope so. We want to ride down.

Okay, so it's......

Changed already. Now the forecasters have taken the rain out of Friday and Saturday and moved it to Sunday. A little cooler, though. Just goes to show you that nobody knows nothin' when it comes to predicting weather more than 5 minutes ahead of time. I'll shut up about what the weather is gonna be for next week. It is what it is. My advice then, is to be prepared for anything from 50-75 degrees and wet to dry. That should cover us. See y'all next week.

There's a reason we call it the ............

Toad Choker!! Honestly it doesn't sound to bad, at least it didn't say thunderstorms!
My concern is the temps: Low 60's for a high and 40's for a low. Thats kinda cold especially with rain, reminds me of Canada, Roger
We're gonna get in as early as possible Friday morning.

Canadian Summer

Gee Cliff,

60° is just a Canadian summer day with a normal evening low. LOL. You wimps from the south are fun to watch. :)

Lets Hope

We are getting our rain this week. Since I am the only one from the northern contingent left we are still planning on riding down. Weather could be worse but we will dress accordingly. Cross our fingers and hope.

Larry

What's the plan

So what day are you getting on your bike and heading south?
shut up and ride

The Plan

We plan to ride down on Friday. Depending on the forecast we may ride part way Thursday night and make a short day of it on Friday. Not much to see on the ride down so we will probably ride the super slab through KC and break off of Hwy 71 when we gt to I44 then hit some twisties the rest of the way. If and only if the weather is crappy, we will drive the car down pouting all the way.

LOL!

Remind him, Jamie--he's old and he forgets a lot. You might offer to let him follow you back to Iowa so he gets home safe. ;)

Bryan

I'd rather be wise than smart.

On of my peers

Bryan,

You do know that you are one of my peers or did you forget? One "old guy" to another. :)

Strange, rain at the toadchoaker????

If it is anything like Shreveport, forget the raingear and bring an arc. :)

I know just enough to be dangerous.

While we're on the subject of rain ...

While watching the Louisville and Michigan final game tonight, I suddenly heard the most welcome sound imaginable for we snow bound Canucks. Rain falling on my steel roof. Nothing helps me sleep better. I'm in love with Mother Nature again.

Hope y'all going to the Toad Choker have yer rain suits [and hip-waders].

Nil Sine Labore
Conrad

I used to be indecisive ... Now I'm not so sure!?

More of a let down

At least we won the first half.... Man I was hoping for better and it looked so good at the start. Guess I just have to count on my Lions in the fall. HA.
