Yamaha 1300 Tourer - The Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Left this morning went to Daytona for Biketoberfest.good ride over from tampa 140 miles,seen some real nice bikes and interesting people.for me it was to many things going on ,but i did get me my cobra fi2000r i shall install in the morning. I did see 2 other 1300's there

It's been one year and 9600 miles since I bought my 2007 1300.Most of all it's been a great ride,usual compants, clunk, seat windshield,but over all a good bike.No major problems.So i thought to my self would I buy another say in 3 more yrs if thought i rode this one in the ground or just wanted a new one.My answer is yes ,for the money its great.I would like to see some chances my another gear,12 volt power ,tilt and or removable windshield,but I really enjoy this bike I think its been one of the best buys i've made.So what do you all think buy another or not?

It seems every week now there have been more crashes and deaths on bikes in the Tampa -St Pete area reported on the news ..I know there are more bikes on the road,but 2 deaths a weeks is not looking good, it seems in most cases reported bikes rideing to fast and doing stupid things,and some cases the motorist said i just did not see the bike...Ride safe and be seen.. P.S. i just ordered my Kuryakyn triple wammy

Well i did it first ride in the rain.Went with a freind to like a bikes at action powersport in venice ,Fl.
the weather was ify riding down ,he looked at bikes down there 1300 of course.. On the way back up I-75 the bottom fell out and luckily for me I had my rain suit (Himalaya name brand)for him not so lucky t-shirt and hat LOL..After a briff stop to suit up and let it calm down some we took off 50 miles back to Brandon,the bike handled real good I was very carefull stayed under 80..the suit worked real good ..stayed dry the chaps on the motor bars were great feet stayed dry...In all a good ride and experiance..meet a man there in the shop named Joe he was buying the 1300 and had been looking around the 1300 web site..looking foreward to having him join us,showed him my bike and let him listen to the cobra pipes he seamed to like..thats it nice rainy day in Fla..

Getting warmer down here in Fla ,rode from Tampa to Naples last Saturday,a lot of heat coming from the road. Just like the cold we need to dress for warm- hot weather.it stared out about 65 and ended up about 84 that day .My friend and his wife riding with me did not use any sunscreen .
Well with no helmets and face shield they got a little burnt up ..you need that portection my face was alittle burnt i think more from thre wind then the sun ,after one day i was fine.. The bike ran great about 350 miles that day good ride ...
