Hi everyone!
I am proud to announce that we have finalized the host hotel arrangements for our 3rd Annual Meet & Greet in Salida Colorado.
For updates on this years Meet & Greet, visit www.1300tourer.com/mg2010
The rooms are in somewhat short supply, and they are first come, first serve. In other words,... book early. I have also opened up the sign-up within the Meet & Greet page.
Also we have some new t-shirts that paulinokc has designed for us. If you are interested in seeing the design or placing an order, details can be found here: www.1300tourer.com/node/6710
I hope everyone is getting though the winter!
Ride safe,... and see you in Salida!
Will R.

Hello fellow members!
With the end of the riding season drawing to a close (for most of us anyway) I figured it was time to get a newsletter out... something I haven't done for a couple months and it is long overdue!
Over the past few months we have seen some server issues which I think are now under control. The long term plan is to get 1300tourer.com migrated to my data center at home. This will give us LOTS of room to grow.
The planning is underway for our 3rd Annual Meet & Greet. Next year we will be meeting in Salida, Colorado. Earlier this year I took a scouting trip to Salida. Everyone who joins us this year is in for spectacular rides, awesome views, and a quiet town that will be welcoming us with open arms. I have a host hotel picked out... a few more items to finalize there and we can start booking rooms (at a greatly discounted rate).
For M&G 2010, I'll be providing lots of recreational options for our members. The riding choices will be plenty - horse, ATV, kayak, raft, and of course your 1300! Downtown Salida is the perfect spot for those wanting to do some shopping. If you enjoy fishing, there are lots of spots. After hours activities will also be available for those that wish to take advantage of them. Like last year, I'll be keeping updated information under the 2010 M&G link on 1300tourer.com.
As many of you know, Riders United is now live. What many of you do not know is that membership is free. Riders United consists of motorcycle riders who are willing to volunteer some of their time to a good cause, and the website will act as a central coordination point for volunteer opportunities and efforts on a global level.

Hello Members!
I hope the summer is going well for everyone and lots of miles are rolling beneath your wheels!
Many of you already know I have been working on a new project, and I'd like to fill everyone in on what it is and what direction we are going with it.
Riders United, LLC. was formed on March 31st of this year. My goal with this organization is to build an online community with the same feel that 1300tourer.com has. The membership will be open to all riders, everywhere.
The mission statement: "Bringing motorcycle riders from around the world together to create the largest motorcycle social network focused on lending a helping hand through volunteer opportunities and assisting charitable organizations in a team-oriented atmosphere."
I have assembled a Board of Directors and we are currently awaiting approval from the IRS for non-profit status... my goal is to go live with the website on January 1st, 2010. In the meantime, the website will continue to be built and functionality tested. For now membership will be free to anyone here who would like to join (visit www.ridersunited.org to sign up). (The Board of Directors has voted - memberships will be free).
I hope some of you will join us in helping to build a group of volunteers willing to help out in their community! It should be quite an adventure. I'll keep everyone updated as to the progress of Riders United, LLC.
Operations at 1300tourer.com will continue as normal and I have no plans of disassembling this website. It is a true pleasure for me to be a part of this great group of people, and that will not change.
Ride safe!
Will Reece

Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone made it home safely from our 2nd Annual Meet and Greet. For those of you that couldn't make it, I hope you can next year! We will be heading west to the Rockies. I do not have a location pin pointed at this time, but we have a lot of research ahead of us! I've replaced the 2009 Meet & Greet page with the 2010 Meet & Greet page.
This years gathering was a big learning experience for myself as our 2nd Annual was much bigger than our 1st Annual by all aspects. Logistically, this year was completely different. Chrissy and I took a lot of notes once we arrived home which should make our 3rd Annual Meet & Greet bigger, better, and much more streamlined plus give the attendees many more activity options.
While on the subject, I wanted to especially thank those companies that contributed to our silent auction. If you are in the market for any of the services they offer, please consider giving them your business.

Those of you who attended this year's charity dinner at Mountain Motorsports are now aware that I am in the process of starting a non-profit organization - Riders United LLC. At the moment, we are waiting for the non-profit status from the IRS and building the Board of Directors. This organization will be membership based upon it's launch (scheduled for January 2010). Riders United's focus will be building an online motorcycle community (similar to 1300tourer.com) but with a focus on volunteer and charity work. I will keep everyone updated on the organizations progress.

Hi Everyone!
