Greetings fellow members!
One of my favorite holidays is quickly approaching (St. Patrick's Day). Although I am not Irish, I enjoy everything Irish including the music, the dancing, and of course the brew. For me, it is a celebration of spring and the arrival of warmer temperatures! Please be safe in your travels!

That's it from me... below is a How-To on creating a map in your post!
****** HOW TO *******
Let's have a look at creating a map on http://maps.google.com and putting that map on one of your posts!
First, go to maps.google.com and click Get Directions. First you'll want to put in a starting and ending address. For example: Typing "Reno's Yamaha, Kansas City, MO" for A (origin) and "Gatlinburg, TN" for B (destination) will create a route. You can drag and drop the start and end points once they are on the map.
You also have the ability to drag and drop the route itself if you would like to take a different route. For example... if I want to go through Little Rock on my way to Gatlinburg, I'd click on the route and drag it to Little Rock. At that point the route and directions will update.
Next we need to build a link to paste in our post or event on 1300tourer.com. Click the Link button at the top left of the map. This should produce a drop-down. One option is "Customize and preview the embedded map". Selecting this should open a new window. Here you can select the size of the map. You can also move it around and zoom in and out to get the look you want. Don't forget the map/sat/ter buttons at the top left of the map to customize further.
Next, select the auto-generated HTML code. This will be what you paste into your post/event. When authoring a post, there is an "Input Format" option/selection that you will need to expand. Be sure to select "Full HTML" when creating this post, otherwise the map will not be displayed.
As always, if you have questions let me know!
Please ride safely in your travels!
Will R.
