ISO Grips for the 1300
Steve1300
Has anyone replaced the stock grips on a 2007 1300 with ISO grips with the throttle assist and end weights? If so how hard of a job is it and would you recommend doing it to my bike? On long rides my hand cramps up and I am looking for a way to lock the throttle on for a break on my hand so I can move it around to stop the cramps. Any ideas?
I changed them on my 2009
I changed them on my 2009 and it was fairly straight-forward. You may have to experiment with using various numbers of washers to get the proper tension for the throttle assist to work properly. The bar end plug is made from cheap material and broke off (left-hand side) but everything still works properly. Don't know if your 07 is different. I installed the ISI grips and throttle assist/end weight at the same time.
Great idea Will ….
Definitely makes for less scrolling. I like it : -)
