Just came back from a short trip, 250km. Between my wife and I we add up to about 440lb,me being the big one. We also had a fully loaded Küryakyn Grantailgater Bag, approx 50lbs. 50/50 highway and secondary roads and still got 55mpg. That is Canadian gallon which I beleive is larger than the US gallon.
I ride solo, and I have varied from 48 down to 42 ( when I decided to ride agressively for a spell )
So, I figure around 45 is a realistic estimate for my varied riding. I am in KY
I was at 54 until I put on Cobra exhaust and a Power Comander. Now it's about 44 and from what I'm reading in the forum I probably didn't even need the gag guzzeling Power Commander.
i have hit a high of 56 but then put on the 2 into 1 V&H not get about 48, power commander is the clue I think but not sure what would happen if I took commander off.
The best I've seen is 49mpg and the worst is 36mpg (way into the throttle on this one). On mixed hwy/city driving I average about 40-43mpg but I'm a big boy at 290lbs and driving in Dallas means you've got to go fast to avoid getting hit.

ENJOY NOW! IT WON'T BE HERE ON THE WAY BACK!!
Commuting
57 mpg is the best mileage I've turned in. This was all freeway riding, 144 miles to & from work > 70mph.
49 mpg when I mix in some hard canyon riding so the tires don't square up on me
Cheers,
Larry

I just bought my 1300 Tourer Saturday March 22. And on the first tank of gas, I've averaged 52 mpg. Amazing! Loving this bike.

I am 6'4" and 290. My wife is almost always on the back. If I am on a trip doing 70 or less we average 52 mpg over 70 about 45. I am in Houston.
