I have reserved a group shelter on Beaver Lake (10 minutes from Rogers) for an afternoon picnic and get-together on Thursday, July 24th. Check the map below for the exact location of the Prairie Creek recreation area. Our shelter is closest to the boat ramp and offers plenty of parking.

The picnic menu is still in the planning phase, but I am leaning towards hot dogs. I am also considering a catered delivery depending on our numbers. If you are planning on attending, please use the Contact Us link above and let me know.

Please note that there will be a $4 entrance charge to enter the park. This fee is mandated by the Army Corp of Engineers.

On the menu (supplied):

Ball Park Hot Dogs
Baked Beans
Potato Salad
Cookies

Please remember to bring with you what you want to drink.

This year we will incorporate our rally with the Star Days rally in Rogers Arkansas (www.stardays.org). The dates for the Star Days rally are July 22-25. This is Tuesday through Friday.

Hoping to be able to attend

I am still hoping to attend Star Days, and our website event.
Columbus,IN has suffered recent flooding including my place of employment: www.crh.org; www.therepublic.com
We were very lucky home wise as flooding was restricted to my yard barn being 4 feet underwater (Redd's winter home), our house which sits on a foundation suffered NO damage. Our neighbor's not so fortunate, many losing nearly everything. I have been helping at about four homes so far.
I have no work to go to as the hospital is CLOSED. Just today, they told us that they would be paying BASE salaries for three months (with a possible extension). This was quite a relief. Still I anticiapte some hardship.

Sorry, I would love to have gone. This is not too far either since I live in the St. Louid area. I have to work. Too bad it is not on the week end. Everyone have fun, and post some pictures.

Sign up or no?

As my son will be competing in the National Inline Speed Skating Championship in Lincoln, NE the week before and I have to work the day of the meet, it might be difficult for me to make it, but I intend to try. Should I sign up and hope for the best or will party-crashing be acceptable?
