I am planning to switch my handlebars out for the RSTD bars. I have what may be a silly question. How do I get the OEM grips off the bars? I see no nut or bolt that holds them on and do not want to mess up the throttle when I take the grips off. The instructions I plan to follw from the forum to switch the bars were for the ISO grips...I must be missing something simple here.....lol..thanks....Mike
what it
says in the manual is to use a air compresser and a blow nozzel to put air under the grip.
grip removal
Very small screw driver to take the cap off the end of the grip to get the grip end off the bar (allen screw under the cap). The throttle side will slide right off. (losen the screws on the elctrical box of the throttle) The left side is glued with silicon. I used a long thin screw driver working around inside the grip to break the silicon lose.
Thank you for the
Thank you for the suggestions.....once all our holiday company leaves I will tackle it. Drive safe and I hope to see you all on the roads....Mike
