I am waiting as I type for delivery of my Cee Bailey replacement windhsield. According to the fed ex website it is on the truck for delivery today. I went with the 17" windshield and am now wondering if it will be too short. I will find out shortly I hope.! Ride safe and who knows maybe we will meet along the travelled roads....MIke
Was wondering on how you tight you torqued the windshield bolts? The shoulder bolts will not bottom out they will with the thinner stock shield. I just recieved my new windshield today and I had another rider tell me that if I overtightened the bolts[as he did] it would crack the plexi-glass. Any help would be appreciated
I got mine last week. It turned out to be slightly wider than stock, but looks great! The 19" seems to be perfect. Recommended torque is approx. 25 INCH pounds.
If you want the Cee Bailey windhsield to tilt back further you have to do the slot mod because it uses the stock brackets. I installed mine tonight, so far so good.
Here is a company that makes a direct replacement that fits your stock brackets. From what I hear, they are of very high quality, as they also manufacture aircraft windshields. http://www.ceebaileys.com/yamaha/07vstar1300ws.html

Do these windshields tilt
Do these windshields tilt correctly or do they need the slot mod as do the stock windshields?
