I made the leap and ordered a 2008 Tourer, Black Cherry. I should take delivery in a couple of weeks. I've been without a bike for about 4 years, and I'm glad to be getting back on.

I would love to meet some other east tx riders from fortrworth and east ward!!!!!!! I have a brother that lives in dallas , I one the other hand live
in Quitman Tx, I know you are prob woundering where in the heck is that , well I am 45 min from Greenville or 2hrs east of dallas , 30min from Sulpher Springs. Ilook forward to hearing from ya'll!

I picked up the bike today, and promptly rode it 230 miles home! I'm ready for some riding.

There is a possibility that a few of us may be getting together on Sunday (Sep 7) around 3:00 in the Garland/Rowlett/Rockwall area. I will be sure to post if we are able to nail down a time and place that we are going to meet.

...from Rowlett! Makes us almost neighbors. The Metroplex area seems to have a pretty good supply of V13 riders. I met a few a couple weeks ago in Mesquite...great bunch of folks. We should plan some kind of "Metroplex Meet n' Greet". Maybe all head down to Hico for some killer BBQ!

Rock House?

I think it's the Rock House. I need to verify the name. Several co-workers have told me about this place. According to them it's not much to look at, and is kind of "self-serve", but all have said the meat is incredible.

Welcome from the other side of the metroplex

Pyro, that's one leap you aren't going to regret. The 1300 is an awesome bike and the black cherry color is certainly gonna enhance that experience for you. I hope we'll get a chance to meet and ride together sometime. There are at least 5 of us within easy riding distance of each other and I think it would be a blast for us to meet up. It's been difficult so far, thanks to work schedules and family/social obligations, but i'm thinking a chance to ogle an '08 Black Cherry 1300 in person just might make it happen.

I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas! As soon as I get the bike, I'll let you guys know. I'd really like to meet up with some local folks.
