Licence Plate Mod.

Hello

Just wondering if anyone has made any mods to their licence plate holder. I am wondering how difficult it would be to ccr (cut, chop, rebuild) the oem plate holder so the plate is in a more streamline lay down position. Or is there an aftermarket plate holder out there that can be purchased? Hope this makes sense?

I live in Fla. they just passed a law on licence plates,they must be vertical and on the rear bumper only.I wanted to lay it down some but I guess i'll have look for something else.If anyone has any pics i'd like to see them,thx.

Here's My Mod

Here's the mod I made to my plate. Just made a simple bracket out out bar aluminum that bolted into the existing holes.

Side mount

I chopped mine off and side mounted the license plate. The biggest drawback is that all the holes now show on the fender.

Easy to do!

Followed your directions as well. Worked great Thanks much...looks much cleaner. Since I ride solo and have the rear fender luggage rack just looked goofy having that reflector laden billboard back there. I have since removed the fork reflectors as well. Cut them off with a die grinder and cut off wheel touched up with black krylon. I know reflectors have a place in this world ....just not on my 13. :)
