Which HD Lowers to use?

There have been several post here about HD Lowers. Most do not indicate any part numbers while others seem to debate over different part numbers.
Is anyone able to tell me what the differences are between HD lowers, part numbers 58125-90B and 58121-85B. Will they both work or does one have to be modified more than the other?

I installed the HD 58121-85B

I installed the HD 58121-85B lowers a few days ago and there great,sounds like the same as the Kuri lowers,drilled a hole in lowers and used the bottom hole to make them ridged.The other HD lowers have a cutout for engine guards i think.

I also went with the the Kuryakin HD lowers [part number 1105].

Love them. Required 1 additional hole to be drilled in the lower itself, and I used the bottom hole of the lower with a bold & fender washers th 'squeeze' it tight for the bottom support.

Hey there barneyfc - re: which HD lowers

You might want to consider the Kuryakin HD lowers [part number 1105]. I just mounted them on “Enterprise” yesterday [see my post “Latest mod – “Enterprise” – Lowers”. Photos are posted in the Images aftermarket and mods section.] Honestly, good price and an easy install.

I just returned from a 5 day

I just returned from a 5 day (all sunny days) excursion through Nova Scotia, PEI and New Brunswick. It was cool but pleasant through the day. The morning and early evenings were cold and brutal. I had ordered the Kuryakin HD lowers just before I left.
I installed the lowers today and headed out for a run down the highway. Man; I wish I had those things installed before I left 6 days ago. A noticable and pleasant difference.
Thanks for your feedback on the lowers. They will give me another hour or two of riding each night. I went with your idea of the wire ties through the bottom hole, also works well.

Used with driving lights?

Has anybody mounted these on a bike equipped with the OEM passing lamps?

I current have Buck's lowers but after looking at photos I see the chrome Kury/HD lowers extend at LEAST 5" further down the fork, which to me would mean more wind protection. I suppose since one is drilling mounting holes anyway, it could me surely made to fit but I think keeping the symmetry in relation to the forks might be important to the overall look of chrome.
