I just bought my first 1300 Tourer from a dealer in WV. It's a used Candy Red 2007 with 5000 miles on it. VERY clean. Originally it was bought new at same location. All service records included, and 3 years left on extended warranty. After-market add-ons are engine bars and passenger floorboards. $7400 out the door.
My questions..
1) Did I get a good deal?
2) Are there any other after-markets you think I NEED... not want. Later on, I'm sure I'll get that fairing.
3) Any other members out there from NC?
Thanks,
Pebody
You did well
I also have a 2007 Candy Red Tourer and it looks great. My advice to you for an accessory that you would need would be to add Buck's Lowers to reduce wind buffeting. And if you have a reach problem, adding handlebars that work for you. I have no problem with reach, so the stock bars work great for me. Adding comfort accessories will make the riding experience more enjoyable and also allow you to stay in the saddle for longer periods of time. You got a very good deal on your bike. Oh, and if you plan on taking over night trips, a good luggage rack would be in order. You already have 2 great accessories you need not worry about. Passenger floor boards are a must for passenger comfort. And engine bars speak for themselves. I have quite a few accessories on my bike, some for the glitter and some for comfort and protection. As Yamaha states, make it your own :-) Enjoy the ride. It is a great bike.

Your new bike
I agree with Mr. Stang in that you got a good deal on a terrific bike. Accessories...there are LOTS, and the Stangman has them all, or most of them, anyway. He's even invented some along the way - ha! The 2 that seem to be the most commonly found almost immediately after buying the bike are: 1. Handlebars that allow for a much more comfy riding position without the unnecessary extensive reach. If needed, there are two or three different ones that are most often found to be excellent; 2. After market seat that will allow both you and your passenger to ride more than 50-100 miles without your rear ends screaming for relief. The most common seat found that's created lots of smiles is one of the Mustang wide touring seats, and there are others. After the bars and seat, the fun stuff begins with mods and accessories, all of which will cause your bike to run better and more efficiently, also look "purdy," just like the Stangman's awesome looking Raven Racer.
Enjoy that great new bike of yours.

As far as accessories, I'm probably not the guy to ask. (I like accessories)......:>)
