Yamaha 1300 Tourer - The Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

I finally got out for my first ride Saturday evening, and even though it was a little chilly it was fun getting the feel of the new bike. I even snapped a couple of pictures (1300 tourer galleries). Anyway after my first 75 Kms I like the feel of the bike, with the low centre of gravity it feels very nimble yet solid at the same time. The engine noise does not really bother me it does not seem a lot louder than my last bike. I found it geared really high though and it chuggs a lot when slowing to corner, which is probably just my getting used to the fuel injection, and the shifting points. I was impressed with the cruising speeds finding it not necessart to shift to 5th untill above 80 Km/hr.

All in all it is a great improvement over my Suzuki Volusia, and I liked that bike a lot. Obviously I didn't know what I was missing. I'm looking forward to adding a few accessories and really making it mine.
