I took the bike to the local drag strip tonight - Wednesday Night Grudge Matches. Raced a couple of different bikes. I didn't win any races, but did post some consistant runs.
I'll post the timeslips in the Image Galleries, under my folder in Trips.
Here are the videos :

Run 2 -
Run 3 -
Run 4 -
Run 5 -
All said, the bike handles the drag strip quite well. I felt very comfortable, and had no real trouble on launch. I did not do a burn-out to warm up the tire. No point really with a street tire, and there was plenty of rubber on the track anyway. I did not do a 'hard' launch on any of the 5 runs, but I did have the RPM's up.
My best of the night - 13.766 @ 94.03 r/t .330 (Run 3)
Bike #433 - 2007 V-Star 1300 (me - bone stock)
Bike #429 - 2007 Suzuki M109R (with mods)
Bike #225 - Suzuki GSX-R (with mods)
Bike #454 - HD Sportster something or other heavily modded
Good show man. I cant wait
Good show man. I cant wait to see what these things can do with a few mods and maybe a little trimming of some extra metal.
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing TL! Did you make these runs at KCIR? Lemme know next time you go down there, i'd love to watch. :)

Oh man! I totally forgot to email you about it. Dang!
You will be included next time.
Heavily modded...
HD heavily modded... I would say so, the thing did a wheelie from launch... ;)
Nice runs, I would love to see what our bike could do with some minor mods.
Drag Racing the 1300
Some of the Mag reviews have the V Star 1300 running the 1/4 @ 13.6X seconds @ 93 or 94mph So you're right in there with them.
Good Job..
