Yamaha 1300 Tourer - Yamaha 1300 Tourer Fansite

Hey Gang,

Been lurking for a month or so and really enjoying the site! I've been riding a Suzuki VStrom 1000 for a few years (loved it), but I let a guy talk me in to selling it to him. It was time for a change anyway! As of yesterday, I am now in the process of purchasing a 1300T. Getting a fantastic deal on a new '08 from a dealer in Chanute Kansas...$7999 OTD! I'm not kidding...$7999 OTD (no dealer fees, doc fees, set-up fees, freight fees, etc)!!!! I couldn't believe it myself! I have also previously owned a 2003 VStar 1100, so I already knew Star made some really great bikes.

I also worked out some great deals on all the popular parts and accessories I have learned about during my lurking phase. I am having them install the RSTD bars ($109), Iso grips ($60), engine guards ($155), Mustang seat (rider and passenger $400), Passing lamps mount ($145), passing lamps ($97), saddlebag guards ($250), saddlebag guard mounts ($120), and saddlebag trim rails ($171). All in all...almost $2200 in farkles for less than $1700! Hopefully the parts were ordered today, and hopefully it will be ready for pick it up in a week or two. I'll get some pics once it is in my driveway. BTW, it is the 'Seashell' color. I don't know why someone would name a motorcycle color 'Seashell', but I like it anyway. I will just make up a more macho name for the color when people ask!

Anyway, glad to be here, and I look forward to interacting with everyone...especially all the Okie folks. I foresee a 'Meers Burger' in my immediate future...any other Okies want to come along?!?!?
