I am sorry for this post. I felt compelled.
I just saw an ad on TV for the 2008 Star Raider, went to the Star website, and I'm hooked. This is the bike I wanted when I bought the 1300.
I'm not sure I can afford the Raider, but I really want to. A blue Raider S.

Please Santa? I've been good all year. I put 10K miles on the new bike. I did my part. Please bring me a blue Raider S.
No need to apologize...
Finding the one you like best and riding the hell out of it is what it's all about.

TEST RODE THE RAIDER
I test rode the RAIDER. Action sports Venice florida. Man does that bike rock.fast handles the seat is hard but the power is there.I rode the red one but the blue one was there also. blue is nice. i seen the black in a my dealer in tampa does not look as good as the other one's...nothing wrong with owning two bikes i came close to buying it but common sense took over thank GOD...
RAIDER
After riding their demo Raider, I asked my dealer what he could give me on a trade. Only $7400 on my new 1300T, plus another umpteeump for the rest. Heh. Its kinda like buying computers. Next month's is always mo' better. Although the Raider was an even more comfortable sit than my present model, it had no windshield or saddle-bags. I even got with the Parts guys and looked up Raider bags. They are tiny. What I didn't like about it was idling at a a stop light, and shaking my teeth. When I ran it up to 70, my lips were wrapped around my ears and my helmet blew back and choked me. If I win the lottery, yeah, I want one! Ridin' that bike, I could get wimmin and be pop'lar. Trouble is, my wife won't let me.

Yepper. I was holding out
Yepper. I was holding out for the raider myself.
Too much money now. Plus I've got to sell my 'other' bike before I even entertained the thought of a different bike.
Don't know what I'd do with THAT MUCH power. Hell, I thought my 1300 was scarey fast for a motorcycle!
Gimme 4 wheels on the ground, (at least for part ways down the track), for that much power!
