How many of you like the two tone? I have the two tone and I like the silver but, I'm really not to happy with the darker V style on the tank. I mean I can live with it but, if I had the money I would diffently repaint the tank. So what do you guys think about the two tone? I do know that the 08's didn't come two tone silver.
two tone silver
When I got my 08 two tone silver I thought it was one of the prettier bikes on the floor. I wouldnt have even bought a black one, as I was window shopping everybody had BLACK bikes! I got sick of black bikes. Had two black bikes and that was enough........ though the first one was a pretty black with red on the tank 78 Triumph Bonniville. Shure wish I had that one now..........jdadougIt aint never easy!
Two Tone Silver is my pick
When I was looking for the 1300 T , I was absolutely convinced that it was going to be black. When I was ready the deal ( due to price ) the dealer only had the Two Tone Silver. My wife loved it ....and the rest is history. I am really happy with it now as there are few around here , lots of solid colors , but few two tones. I have poured the chrome to her, and just put on the mustang seat. Love It ! and really glad I got the Two Tone. I will be sending in a pic . You got the right bike !

When I first saw the 1300 in
When I first saw the 1300 in the show room the silver definately caught my eye. I was planning on buying a 1100 but something about the 1300 kept pulling me back to it. Then I began reading the reviews of the 2 bikes and knew the 1300 with EFI, water cooled and belt drive was the way for me to go. But what about the color. I have a silver Toyota Tacoma and as much as I liked the silver I didn't think I wanted both to be the same color so I bought the red. No regrets for my decision. I love the red and boy does she shine when I detail her. But then again, I havn't seen a 1300 that I didn't like regardless of the color. Hands down the best looking bike on the road.

two tone here also
One passed me on I-52 coming from La Jolla, Calif but he split lanes and I myself do not do that, I want to keep riding if you know what I mean:)
Two tone silver
When I first decided to trade my Honda Shadow Spirit 750 for a VStar 1300 I was sure I wanted a red one. But after seeing the silver/charcoal on the showroom floor it was love at first sight! I got a great price and a good deal on the trade in and have been clappy as a ham ever since.
Silver for me
I love the silver. When the local dealer started advertising sale prices, I cruised over to their establishment, and there, on the showroom floor, was a shiny new black V-Star 1300 standard. Black has always been my favorite. Nice, I was impressed. While speaking with the salesman, just for kicks, I asked if there were any other colors in stock, and he said there was a silver one out back that they were just about finished assembling. We went out to look at it, and it was parked outside where the sunlight was on it. The first thing that grabbed me was the size of the metal flake used in that paint! Wow! For once, silver isn't the ugly duckling. The contrast of silver against the charcoal and the black made this bike stand out! And, as they say, the rest is history. Incidentally, I've had more compliments on this bike than any other I've owned. Yeah, (sniff sniff) even the Harley.
Made my choice
I had a choice of any of the 3 colors for 2007 and the candy red one was the one for me. Would be nice if the candy red one had black cherry two tone though :-)

two-tone
When I saw it, I preferred it to the black..I believe it stands out..but not enuf of it shows..what a waste on the back fender..By spring I will install the Chilowee tank bid first seen here...would rather have that pocket and look...Bought the 1300 in September..end of season sale...only had a black and the two tone on the floor..$7700..out the door....I will say I have a thing for white bikes...
Two-Tone Silver
When we were looking at the models on the floor I asked the dealer if he had any more. He sent us out to his warehouse with the chief mech who cut open a crate and we saw HiHo (as in Silver!) for the first time. My wife and I both started grinning like adolescents on lover's lane. THIS WAS IT! (Is that a flame?) It took them two hours to put me in the saddle, loan me a helmet, and my wife followed me home. However, Joe, I've been considering a black leather tank bra. I've already seen a few that looked pretty snazzy, and if one had a pocket I might go that route. Butch has a nice one on his candy apple, with studs. (He's into studs and fringe.) Boomer, Tourvet and Bujohn liked it, too, to name a few silver owners (I'd love for all of us to ride together!). Either way, I don't think you made the wrong color-scheme choice...the silver/charcoal sure rings my chimes...but, here's the bottom line: I've never seen any 1300T that wasn't beautiful! (I'm still debating Stan.) Also, if Yamaha stopped the two-tone silver paint job, doesn't that make it unique for 2007? That extra $200 for the two-tone may be worth a little more down the road....who knows?

Love my two-tone. I thought
Love my two-tone. I thought it looked a lot classier than solid color. Have gotten several good comments about it.
Two tone silver
The blended [fade away] two-tone is what caught my eye and I really love it. I’ve had a few compliments related directly to this very thing. If it had been just silver, I'd have opted to go with the cherry red.
Well, to each his/her own. You asked.

I have one
I have the two-tone silver and love it. To me it's different enough to really stand out. I guess I'm weird, I like the tank. :)

Not trying to start a flame
Not trying to start a flame war, or give anybody any crap about their bike, but personally I do not like the look of the 2 tones on the 1300s. Only ones I've seen have been the silver ones, but it almost looks like it's 'an add on'. They could've gotten a little more creative it seems.
Again, this one mans opinion.
Long John Silver
I have the red one, but I really do like the silver one because it looks like a bike of it's own. There really aren't too many bike manufacturers putting out a silver cruiser. The darker paint offsets the silver, even the V shape on the tank. Out on the road not many people would recognize the Silver models as being a Vstar 1300, which adds to the mystery appeal of a large motorcycle with dandy black leather covered bags, some additonal chrome goodies like an engine guard or more leather coverings. So I think Yamaha answered a call for something unique, that makes the two tone Stars very interesting. It also adds to the nostalgic look which makes the two tone models really stand out. They did did a pretty good job. ~ Butch
I have the two tone silver,
I have the two tone silver, and could have gotten any color I wanted. I don't care for the red, was going to buy black but decided the silver would be easier to keep clean than black. And am very glad I did. Although I may have bought the black cherry had it been around.
Love the fender
I love the 2 tone on the front fender but I could do without the tank. I think it's already been said it lacks imagination and looks thrown on at the last minute.

When I bought my '08
When I bought my '08 charcoal/silver 1300T, I really didn't have any color choice. But, even if I would have, I still would have picked the charcoal/silver. The dealer had two of them ready to go, and both were sold in the same hour.
